Sumner Island

History professor Mitchell Lambert has recently published a biography about the beautiful heiress Maria Boudreau, who was murdered in 1924 on Sumner Island off the coast of Maine. While researching Maria's life, Mitch became infatuated with her and obsessed with solving her murder. Now, a seance has been scheduled at the posh Smythe Hotel where Maria died. Though skeptical at first, Mitch sees this as an opportunity to learn the truth behind Maria's murder… and his inexplicable feelings toward her.

From the Back Cover

Mitch is an avid historian drawn especially to the story of "America's Princess," Maria Boudreau. A trip to Sumner Island for a seance is a chance to walk where she walked and see the beautiful New England island where the American Princess vacationed in the 19th century. But something is awry, the magnificent hotel at the island's center keeps changing. Is this a trick of the eye or something darker? Join Mitch as he travels across time and history chasing the ghost of his true love.
