Zeron Chikar is far from the best candidate for student, brother, best friend, or even son of the year, but can you blame him? His teachers refuse to see the unimportance of homework, his two bratty sisters get away with murder, his best friend, a five-star student, constantly lectures him on his inadequacies, and his mother became a self-absorbed jerk since his father became MIA during the Alien/Earth War. Outside the hell he calls home, demihumans, cyborgs, and wandering genetically enhanced humans, called G.E.Hs, add to the problems plaguing humanity since the dawn of man. Zeron thinks his luck can't get any worse, until a spiritual and natural climate controller for his planet, called the Prism Element, decides to attach itself to him. Now, guided by a monstrous defector of the new invaders, the jagged memories of those who wielded the power before him, and his own lack of understanding, Zeron must face the world he once hid from, and save it for the sake of his family, his planet, and the universe. To Zeron, a kid like him facing such an ordeal is overwhelming, but he isn't as alone as he thinks... For his journey may teach him the greatest weapon he has is not the terrible power he wields, but the bonds he shares with others, refracted by the Elements.
