About the Author

Ria Dimitra became entranced by vampires after her high school drama class took in a production of "Dracula" at a drama convention. Eschewing the Hollywood vision of the Undead, she turned to the Gothic tales of the 19th century and ancient European legend to conjure up a tale of romantic horror with a modern sensibility. A solo trip to England provided further inspiration for "The Blood Waltz." She now resides in Pittsburgh with her two cats, Morticia and Felix.
