A woman hiding in the forest comes across an old mansion, where only a single man lives. She calls herself Miss Waldmunt, and asks for shelter. He tells her she may stay only a single night, and then she must leave. Both host and guest have many secrets they are hiding from the other, and though Waldmunt is only supposed to stay one night, that may just be long enough for their darkest secrets to be revealed, or for someone to die.
