Frumpy Myrtle Finch works as an administrative assistant to Professor Jason Fair in the Criminology Department of the University of Pennsylvania. Fair pesters and needles Myrtle making the poor, lonely girl feel miserable. Since she desires to make a life change, she encounters Booker Foster, a computer wiz with a mysterious past. Her life does change with unexpected results.

She is currently working on a murder mystery and a science-fiction story. Beverly has attended several writers' conferences and is a member of The Wannabees, a professional writers' group.
