Wysteria

Growing up, Stella Raiker had heard the stories of the savage Pagan witches on the neighboring island of Wysteria.Fearsome tales of a people who feast on the remains of the fallen and sacrifice the weak to their ancient, heathen deities. Now, as she runs in fear of her own life from her devout homeland on the nearby island of Arcadia, she will soon find out if the stories she grew up with were true. Plunging into the churning ocean waters to escape her fate, Stella slips beneath the waves, unable to fight the currents of an ocean swelled by a dying world.Pulled from the icy waters by a mysterious stranger, Stella finds that her once simple life is now anything but. She comes face to face with a deity known as The Mother and her consort, a creature with cloven hooves and antlers not unlike the villain from a story she knew all too well.She is given a choice: die, or help the mysterious stranger fight Wysteria’s tyrant queen, who would rather kill her only son than see her kingdom fall into his hands. Along the way, she learns about love, life, and a twisted secret that will bring all of Wysteria to its knees.
