The Ezekiel Stone (The Nine Stones)

Brought together by an ancient incantation, Roberta, an epigraphist, and Jared, an over 350 year old vampire, are compelled to seek the four pieces of the Ezekiel Stone. The rock, along with eight others, is imbibed with the magic from the beginning of time. Terrified of Jared, a creature she had thought was only of myth and legend, Roberta realizes that only by uniting with him, can she ultimately be free of him. Sebastian, the head of the Covenant, seeks Jared, who he thinks is the key to the power stone of the Stone. With his followers, he catches up to them in an Arizona Kiva where Roberta and Jared, who begins to slowly gain his humanity, pick up the first piece of the Ezekiel Stone. They lose Sebastian who tracks the two to the ancient Mayan city of Chichén Itzá in the Yucatan where they are transported to Machu Picchu in Peru to find the second piece of the stone. In Mexico on the return trip from Peru, Sebastian runs into Jared who is visiting a hospital for some blood. Jared is captured with sleeping darts. Roberta awakes in the car, surprised to find Jared gone. Can she set aside her fears to help him escape from the hospital and Sebastian?
