Salt Creek Vampire

On the island, orgasmic delight punctuated by blood-drained death awaits those fool enough to be lured into the restless night. Then she wades into the shadowy murk of the island’s moss draped oaks and endless marshes where things happen that people prefer not to talk about. Two classes of people live on Wyleet: the self-indulgent wealthy, buying and selling the Island, and those who are living off the water and just trying to get by, like Frank, a down and out shrimper who has spent his entire life on Wyleet. As Frank becomes an ally, Kelly finds herself involved with him. The two of them uncover the horrifying secrets sunk in the tidal waters of the salt creeks. People are disappearing, and at the center of it all, a strange old lady living alone in a huge, rambling house, comes evermore dimly into focus.
