From Booklist
Fall of Cthulhu began so well (see The Fugue, 2008) that it’s been hard to see it become more tedious with each succeeding story arc. This volume concludes the conflict among the old gods of H. P. Lovecraft’s Cthulhu mythos and between them and the forces of the Dreamlands led by the Harlot, a most more memorable new horror-comics creation. After that, the larger Fall continuum retreats 11,000 years to a rather fascistic-looking Atlantis, where the next arc will commence. Could be time to bail, though Santolouco is back from the third arc, The Gray Man (2008), to make this installment look eldritchly alluring, indeed, rather like a slicker Hellboy. --Ray Olson
