Tombstoning: And other supernatural tales

When Sasha and Becca meet for the tenth anniversary of their high school prom, they are unaware that it will be their last reunion. An evening that should have been spent in reminiscing and chatting about memories of school, takes a darker turn. Long suppressed feelings resurface, with unexpected results. Only one of them survives. Tombstoning is the first of a collection of eleven short stories that feature either ghosts or something equally inexplicable and otherworldly. Nothing is ever quite as simple and straightforward as it seems.

About the Author

Josie Gilbert was born in West Sussex and has lived there ever since. After completing her full-time education, she worked in a solicitor's office for almost twenty seven years, where she worked her way up from being a receptionist, to qualifying as a legal executive. Following the retirement of her former boss and the merger of his practice with another one, she decided she needed a complete career change. Her first book, "McArthur's County House Hotel," was published on Amazon in 2014 and her second, "The Stuffed Giraffe's Head" followed in March 2015. She finds inspiration from the people with whom she works and who she meets at work and the unusual situations that sometimes occur there. One of her short stories, "The Choirboy" was chosen as a winner in a competition run jointly by Chichester Independent Authors and the Chichester Observer. It has been included in their anthology, "Write Across Sussex" which is available on Amazon. She is currently working on a third novel and also jointly writing a series of short stories with a friend. Her other interests include photography, cooking and knitting.
