In this third book of Ravenous, the city of Stevens Cove is attacked by ravenous beasts. The creatures attack from the sea and out of the surounding forest. With no way out of the city, the local authorities and private citizens team together to defend themselves. A group of highly armored Super Soldiers are inserted into the center of the city, but soon find that they are also at the mercy of the beasts. Finally the military uses advanced weapons in orbit to turn the city and surrounding forest into a lifeless ash field. Several storylines play out and converge for the final battle of life and death.
