Behold the Sable Knight, a wandering warrior in black and red, hunting for the thing he lost, his one true love. Taken from him by an evil spirit, he vows vengeance upon the foul creature and the rescue of the woman he loves, by any means necessary. In a journey across countries devastated by the wicked Faerie, he encounters the victims and the benefactors of this unholy conquest, learns of their misery and, in some cases, their motivations for their own tyranny, and begins to question his own motivations. Is what he feels truly love? Or is he just as vile and selfish as the monster he hunts?

About the Author

Joshua Lawrence Marvel was born in Texas and now studies history in Alabama. He has a love for the Middle Ages and good stories. Joshua enjoys many hobbies ranging from painting to blacksmithing. The first story his father ever told him was Beowulf and the Dragon, thus solidifying his enjoyment of epic tales of monsters and heroes. He is the author of the Sable Knight, an epic poem.
