When singer/songwriter Matt Jones, his author wife Samantha and their golden cocker spaniel Bridget move into a beautiful old Georgian house in Thirsk, North Yorkshire, they quickly discover they are not the only residents. The unwelcome nocturnal attentions of the ghostly siblings John and Kate Armstrong eventually drive Matt and Sam into enlisting the help of paranormal investigator Catriona Threadgold, who is eventually forced to call upon the services of professional ‘dispossessor’ Michael Kenny. The story is set mainly in the present day and the 1930s and features a classic 1935 Alvis Speed 20.
