Rusty McTavish and Levi Todd Born are old friends and Texas Rangers. They’ve been through hell together fighting drug cartels from across the border in Mexico. But one particular drug lord takes revenge on them and attacks Levi’s wife Emily, gravely injuring her. Levi loses his mind, quits the Rangers and goes off on a journey to find some solution to Emily’s condition. Over time her health weakens badly. Rusty and Levi lose touch with each other, but then, after years have gone by, Rusty gets a call from his old friend. Levi tells him he must come quickly. And bring lots of holy water. Emily is dying. When Rusty arrives, he sees how Levi has managed to stave off Emily’s impending death in a most bizarre and terrifying manner. What happens next will test the bounds of their loyalty and their friendship.
