Rivermist: The Book of the Elders

The Oracle of Laki has been reborn, but before she ever drew breath, designs have been drawn on her power. Perhaps the fire-Dith Gleachel would corrupt her for the goddess Daki; perhaps her murderous father would siphon away her magicks for his own use; perhaps the Prophet-King Rediekiel would capture her to learn all he could drag out of her--or perhaps he would stand between her and all others as a shield. On the ever-night side of the planet Phant, a light has come to the darkness, sparking in the souls of those who have joined the Oracle in other times. Avalanches of awakening and remembrance are triggered, recognitions of ancient cycles that have come before. Are they to reassume their old roles or to evolve beyond them? Rediekiel must shift and adapt to accommodate his new perspective of the world, reevaluate the aspects of the self he believed himself to be, and face the reality that not all opposition can be defeated by spell nor blade, no matter the power that wields it. Death is never the end.
