Devil's Pike is a small rural village in Devon that despite its small population has a number of unexplained phenomena. Local journalist Karl Mathers is hot on the trail of a shrieking Banshee whose appearance leaves the witness who hears it deathly holler with only twenty four hours to live. As if Karl was not pressed for time chasing a Banshee, he is also helping local Police Officer Trent track down a pervert named the shadow, who in the dead of night breaks into women's homes to steal their underwear. Add to Karl's busy schedule his usual madcap interviews with the local villagers and his secret work for the Ministry of Agriculture tracking British cryptid's, its all in a days work for him but he is finding it hard to sleep due to not having enough hours in a day. Can Karl and Trent catch the Banshee before she kills more innocent villagers and can they catch the elusive underwear thief before the women in the town are left knickerless?
