Shadow Walker: A CommuniKate Mystery

Seventeen-year-old Kate Walker is stoked about the upcoming Halloween party. That is until she is handed a case in the neighboring town of Oak Grove. The high school senior, who, for the better part of a decade, has been using her unusual talent to solve missing person cases, is on the verge of becoming a household name. With each of her ninety-nine previous cases ending in success, she has no reason to believe this time will be any different. But things go horribly wrong, and not only does Kate not make it back in time for the party, but she is left fighting for her life.When Kate wakes in the hospital several weeks later, she is left with no memory of what happened in Oak Grove. To make matters worse, a threat has been made against her life by the notorious serial killer, Simon Lepridge. When she finally returns home, Kate notices a dark car following her. Eager to get to the bottom of the mystery, Kate enlists the help of Martha Allen, a friend, and reporter for the Columbus Chronicle. Slowly, they begin to piece together the events of that night. Then, the night of the Winter Formal, Kate has an episode and sees the ghost of the little girl she was sent to save in Oak Grove. It’s a trap. But before Kate is ensnared, she is rescued by a mysterious young man who works for a secret division of the FBI, who takes her to a secret government facility near the Canadian border.
