As night falls on a small secluded western town, young Deputy Brown waits patiently in his office for his uncle, the town's sheriff, to return. As he waits, he reads the local newspaper that informs him of several recent brutal killings. The gruesome images of the slain in the newspaper began to torment young Deputy Brown every time he closes his eyes. What's worse is the Madman responsible for the killings is still on the loose. What should be just another ordinary night for the young deputy is anything but that. As the sun sets, a darkness that isn't just the night arrives.(This story is part of The Daniel Casen Universe Approximately 3600 words)
