The Calling

A year after the death of his wife, David Byers finds himself losing the person who means the most to him in this world: his seven-year-old son, Jackson. Jackson is struggling too, alone in the world having lost his mother and unable to fit in with the other children. But the worst of it is the nightmares, vivid, graphic dreams echoing off the walls in the darkness of his mind. Asking him, "Where are you, Jackson?" Always asking. In an effort to reconnect for David and to escape for Jackson, David is able to pull Jackson out of school early to enjoy time at a family cottage deep in the woods of Pennsylvania. But as father and son grow closer, so does a sinister force willing to wage war on a global scale. And the only person who can stop it is Jackson, a unique boy with extraordinary gifts.
