Long ago, a man named Ziquar brought magic into the world. He gifted his six children with shards of a gem, that, when united, would bring its wielder unspeakable power. About the Author

Esme Cammarata Mueller (2003) was born in Berkeley, California, to two mothers: Kris Mueller and Marielle Cammarata and was homeschooled for most of elementary school. She has completed works of poetry, short stories and multiple novels. The Blood of Ziquar was a two year endeavor and is her first published novel. Esme is especially fond of writing fantasy and horror and adores creating fantastical places and creatures while also capturing the intensity of human emotions. She says that she doesn't just like to write, but has to write to get out the ideas the endlessly swarm though her head. Her creative drive extends to many other endeavors: digital art, film editing, aerial arts, contortion, singing and theater.
