Pestilence: A Grim Prairie Tale

New Mexico, circa 1880. A new frontier faces an unspeakable evil that threatens to destroy the entire nation. A plague rages throughout a wild untamed land turning man and beast alike into creatures with an insatiable appetite for flesh and blood. A house divided will not stand. Lawmen must unite with Outlaws, Navajo must set aside their differences with the Apache, and a Holy Man must come to terms with his own inner demons. The epic saga of a bygone era, Pestilence is a bloodthirsty homage to pulp westerns, and apocalyptic horror fiction.

About the Author

Blake Ryan grew up on a literary diet of Stephen King, John Wyndham, and E.C. horror comics, and a celluloid diet of seventies and eighties horror and exploitation cinema. He is the author of the exploitation film reference guide Trash Cinephile, and now turns his hand toward his first fiction novel. Pestilence is an apocalyptic horror/western hybrid that draws upon these influences while offering a new perspective on several popular genres.
