Vampires rule the streets of New Orleans during the War of 1812. Zoltan, a young man pressed into service by the British is killed on the battlefield during the Battle Of New Orleans. The Vampire Queen, who is smitten by Zoltan, resurrects him from the dead turning him into a zombie. Then, with Satan's help makes him into a vampire. The ghost of Zoltan, believing himself to be in Purgatory, begins a quest to Kill the Vampire Zoltan so as to win God's approval to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.
