With Peter and Jason away in Egypt in search of the the lost tomb of Cleopatra, Rachel is left to help Martha to settle into the twenty first century. But the Antique Shop has other ideas and tempts them to go back to the sixteenth century. They believe they are going to rescue Lord Mountford, a man who lost his head during the reign of King Henry VIII for helping the monks during the dissolution of the monasteries. In fact, the shop sends them back too late for that and they meet Lord Mountford's stepson, Marcus, who they learn is from the future. It seems to be him the shop wants them to save, but they have no idea from what.Marcus insists he was taken through the time portal in 1940, to evade the Nazi invasion of the Channel Islands, yet for some reason the shop will not open its doors for him. At least, it won't open the back room, which is the important part. But in 1940, they discover the truth about Marcus and why the shop wants him taken out of the sixteenth century.
