Ethan Cage has a curse. He is able to see horrible monsters viewed by most as just ordinary people. Enslaved by his curse, Ethan finds himself unwillingly employed by a mysterious organization, Agency 13, that requires him to hunt and exterminate these monsters known as "Boogiemen". On a routine extermination assignment in the South Dakota Badlands, Ethan saves the life of a beautiful young woman with a troubled past, Kelly Thompson, and soon finds himself marked for extermination not only by Agency 13, but a band of revenge-seeking Boogiemen, both hell-bent on the demise of Kelly and he. This dark, roller coaster ride of death, mayhem, and gun-wielding passion twists and turns through the modern day American West toward the sanctuary of Old Mexico as the freedom-seeking Ethan Cage becomes the hunted and finds himself desperately fighting not only to save his own life, but the life of the woman he suddenly finds himself falling deeply in love with.
