With every bump in the night, her fears rose threatening to paralyze her. Why hadn't she heeded the warning? Why had she dared to cross the line between the darkness and the light? She could smell the evil that oozed from his pores; it turned her stomach. She tried desperately to submerge the urge vomit in his face.
