When unsettling things happen to people around her, Sheila decides to amend her goal to becoming a "Witch Detective". But the experiments she tries and the series of events that unfold mostly scare, rather than enlighten her. Will she learn who is hurting people in her social group or will she become a victim? This book is set in Yellow Springs, Ohio which is noted for it's liberal and free thinking ways. There are many different shops around town and classes at the local college that inspire Sheila.
