After a four year tour in the Army, a Minnesota man returns to his home to find out nothing has changed. Tired of society and labels he retreats to the mountains of Colorado and finds out he has other desires life. Living alone in a log cabin deep in the forest, tourist and like begin to vanish. What has the Minnesota native become? Or has he uncovered something bigger?

About the Author

Phil Hallberg, a Minnesota native, now living in Texas, served twenty years in the US Army. In 2011 he was medically discharged with severe back pain sustained from service-related injuries. Unable to maintain normal daily activities due to extreme pain, he turned to write. Writing allows him to get his feelings onto paper and tell stories. Though he has written on other topics, his primary focus is in the thriller/suspense genre. When time permits, Phil enjoys hiking, camping, rock climbing, water sports and outdoor photography with his family Here he finds solitude and inspiration for his work. When not found outside, he can be found rink side supporting the local AHL hockey team.Phil has been married for 24 years to Paula and has two adult children, one teenager, and four grandchildren.A portion of the proceeds will be donated to various veterans organizations.
