Secrets of the Magdalene Scrolls

From obscurity to renown, the Magdalene Secrets revealed. For over two thousand years the life of Mary Magdalene has been maligned in some quarters with the truth of her life being suppressed. Author Bettye Johnson brings to light the many missing fragments regarding the life of Mary Magdalene. Based upon years of research, Johnson weaves a story of suspense, mystery, adventure, abduction and romance. Moving from the present day across time to two thousand years ago, the mystery unfolds with a most unlikely quartet coming together. Two American women, one a research lawyer and the other a teacher on sabbatical, while hiking in the Pyrenees Mountains of southern France, discover by accident an unknown cave containing never before discovered scrolls written by Mary Magdalene herself. Not wanting the scrolls to be hidden away for years as others have been, the two women pair up with a rich American businessman and a disillusioned French priest with a mission to get the scrolls translated and given to the world. At last, the tale of Mary Magdalene with her connection to the Black Madonna, her childhood, her education, her relationship with Jesus, her mission and her spirituality is made known with its many twists and surprises. The reader's interest is riveted with anticipation for the next page from beginning to the end with its passion, intrigue and spiritual insights. Definitely a page-turner thriller that is powerful to its surprising climax.
