Ninthborn (The Ninthborn Chronicle)

When no one wants you to have a destiny, sometimes you should just steal it.Princess Ediline had the misfortune of being born eight minutes after her twin brother, labeling her forever the cursed ninthborn. She is good for nothing in the eyes of her family, until a mysterious young man named Javras comes to her kingdom heralding a looming threat. His father wields the fabled weapon of the traitor god—the bloodsword—and he is coming to enforce peace.Ediline is told to charm the dashing young man, and to pretend to be the eighth born to do it. No one would love the ninthborn, after all. As she gets to know him, the lies become heavy on her heart. She wishes she could tell him the truth, but doing so would be digging her own grave. As the dreaded arrival draws near, Ediline is left on her own with no allies. Pressed into a corner, in a situation with no way out, she resolves to do the most selfless thing she can think of—to steal the thing for herself. It might just get her killed, or it might just save the entire continent.~The Ninthborn Chronicle is a low magic dark fantasy trilogy about an unlikely hero, a terrible magic sword, adversity and compassion, and a small fuzzy friend.Content Warnings:Some violenceSome languageA sexual situationChild abuse discussed and described
