Nick Carter and Hope Maguire had much in common, but Hope was resistant to a relationship with the older, divorced man. Commonality, however, drove the pair together. Neither of them found peace at night. Something haunted their dreams and disrupted sleep. Nightmares were common but could not be recalled. Suffering similar symptoms, they shared a psychologist. The horrible truth came to light when Nick and Hope were regressed through hypnosis. Matters worsened when Nick’s teenage daughter and her friend disappeared for an extended period of time. Nick feared that the same was done to the teen girls as had been done to him and Hope. Disappearances and lost time became common issues. Something certainly was wrong in the mountains of Virginia.
