Where They Go To Die

When government scientists at a lab in West Virginia attempt to create a miniature black hole, they inadvertently open up a portal to another universe. Thousands of vicious, voracious creatures pour through the portal destroying the lab and killing everyone in it. Some of the creatures are intelligent and immediately set about changing the environment in which they now find themselves killing many humans in the process. Frank Ballard, a struggling writer is horrified when his wife, Elizabeth begins to act strangely. After visiting her doctor who tells her she has a tumor on her brain, Frank watches helplessly as a drunken driver runs into her and kills her. Terrified, Frank observes a ghostly being leave her body and wander down the street. This is only one of many events that become part of his nightmarish world as he discovers that humans are no longer alone and that aliens are trying to destroy his race.
