Forsaken (Spellwynde Chronicles)

Blood is not always thicker than water. Power can corrupt even the most innocent. Luck has never been on Blinder's side. At seventeen, he has already lived a life no one would envy. He learns from a young age, to survive, he has to be as brutal and unforgiving as the world around him. He quickly builds a fearsome reputation on the streets of Caldran City. A troubled past and a life on the streets has made him a violent criminal who controls his gang of misfits with an iron will. When his luck runs out one evening, all that changes. After a brutal taste of his own medicine, he is left to die on the harsh streets of the city. Help comes with the unexpected guise of a goblin and hedgewitch who tell him only a sorceress can help heal his horrific injuries. However, he soon discovers that sorceress’ do not tolerate disloyalty and they will do what they can to seek revenge. Knowing his sister is alive and well somewhere in the mountain city of Caldran, he makes it his priority to find her and start a new life with her far away from the growing troubles of the city. He has to get her before the sorceress does fearing she may kill his sibling in an act of vengeance. However, vengeance does not always mean death. The sorceress has far more devious ways of getting her revenge where, in the end, death can seem like a mercy to what she has planned for him.
