It's a few days before Thanksgiving, and Grove City's beloved, newspaper columnist, Louise Pinkerton, has died in the middle of the night. Everyone thinks it's natural causes. Everyone, that is, except 14-year-old Jake Finn, who is almost certain she was murdered. But who did it? And why? As Jake searches for the answers, Mrs. Pinkerton seems to be helping him from beyond the grave, warning him about a Night Stalker on the loose in Grove City. But is she leading him in the right direction? With help from his wise-cracking yet scaredy-cat, best friend, Leo Holloway, Jake must follow the clues to unravel the mystery and learn the truth about Mrs. Pinkerton's death. But he has to act fast. There's no time to waste. Somewhere in the shadows, there's a Night Stalker waiting, and Jake has to find him...before he finds Jake.
