Stolen (Stolenworld Book 1)

A mysterious half-human changeling stalks a young girl, Rioletta, in a remote mountain village. Many doubt her story, but when Rioletta is about to join the Council of Sorcerers, she is set an unusual task: solve the mystery of her childhood abduction. She’s forced to face facts that don’t fit with her strict traditional upbringing, and she starts a chain of events that will stretch from the twisted trees of the tundra to an ancient ruined city, challenge her society’s notions of right and wrong, and topple a regime based on an ancient, and possibly erroneous, document. Have they been on the wrong path all along?

About the Author

K.A. Krisko lives in northern Colorado with her two rescued Australian Cattle Dogs, Page and Carter. It's always exciting going home and not knowing what you'll find: torn-up socks? dead mouse? missing peppers from the garden pepper plant? She enjoys hiking (with the dogs when they'll cooperate), mountain biking, skiing, snowshoeing, and other outdoor activities. And writing and reading, of course. She has published a number of short stories, and is the author of the 'Stolen' series, an epic/dystopian/political fantasy trilogy consisting of 'Stolen', 'Crypt of Souls', and 'Hyphanden's Box', published by Malachite Quills/Chimera Tales and Tulk Tales, and 'Cornerstone: Raising Rook', a modern/contemporary fantasy exploring the genesis of evil, published by Tulk Tales. She also thinks it's very weird writing about herself in third person.
