Just when she thought she could never believe in ghosts…Except for a last name no one can pronounce, Lulu is a happy, pretty and popular high school freshman who’s quite content with her life. But life as she knows it turns upside down when she and her family move to the Philippines and Lulu is uprooted from the only life she’s ever known. At once, Lulu’s not a big fan of the humidity, the language and the rural lifestyle of living in her new home. But soon, the charm of her new town’s history, the verdant countryside and a cute guy begin to intrigue her. Not to mention the appearance of a ghost whose presence first annoys then puzzles her. As Lulu struggles to acclimate herself to another country she reluctantly calls home, she finds she must solve the reason for the ghost’s recent hauntings while trying to fit in at her new school and discovers there’s plenty of culture, magic and soul in a foreign land where she might just find the missing link to her family’s history and view the meaning of happiness in a new way.
