Garden of the Scorpion

Deep in the desert heart of the American Southwest, Olivia Osgood is confronted with an unspeakable evil…an evil that threatens to destroy all she knows, and cast the world into an utter and final darkness…. Following a series of gruesome murders….chased and hunted by a mysterious enemy known only as The Dark One; Olivia must learn to rely on the long hidden knowledge of her Native American ancestors, and return to the ways of the old gods. She is a Beloved Woman of her tribe…a witch and a harbinger of ancient lineage, sent to vanquish the darkness. Her mother was also such a woman, but squandered her gifts through folly and hubris… Can Olivia summon the old gods and conquer her deepest fears and temptations? How does one defeat overwhelming evil? Enthralling in its breath and scope, traveling from the desert southwest to the Virginia tidewater, The Garden of the Scorpion is equal parts thriller and mystery, suspense and romance. It takes the reader on a journey to unfold layers within the human heart, and discover what lies between the darkness and the light in all of us.
