A Rose for Mrs. Lilac is the third book concerning Betty Lilac, a Tarot Reader extraordinaire and an amateur sleuth. In this story we return to Caronsburg and meet once again with she and her friends, wacky and otherwise. It is a friend, Annabelle Wilkins, who introduces Mrs. Lilac to the mystery of The Rose Bouquet, a large flea market at the edge of town. Annabelle's nephew Eugene, recently released from prison, is employed there and is being targeted as a thief and the perpetrator of the many strange happenings at the place. Attempting to help her friend, Mrs. Lilac finds herself in the middle of a situation that not only affects her health, but one that threatens her life. Who is behind the sudden reversal of Mrs. Lilac's fortunes? And what is the message of the Rose? Is it Love or Danger?
