About the Author

HA Hutson grew up in the Appalachian Mountains of Virginia with an avid interest in folklore and culture. In the Appalachian's a favored past time was telling scary stories by the firelight or while driving down dark country roads. A child of that culture, no one knows better that there is nothing spookier than not knowing what lies in wait just beyond the light and there's nothing more thrilling than stepping into that inky darkness to find out!Raised in the mountains of Giles County she graduated from the local high school and would later attended New River Community College for business management which then set her on a course she never expected to take.  Ms. Hutson won scholarships for her writing talent and went on to graduate with a Bachelor's degree from Hollins University in creative Writing and English with a minor in photography. Once again the path didn't end there, but she would also attend Full Sail University for screen writing. The author of five published novels, a short story collection and a soon to be released book of essays called Deep Thoughts and Shallow Graves, Ms. Hutson also writes poetry occasionally, works as a freelance editor for both publishers in the US and abroad as well as creating cover designs.
