Stay out of the Noon Woods. That's the prevailing wisdom in Durwood, North Carolina, where the surrounding forest has long been known to harbor things best left undisturbed. When this small mountain community is adopted by a group of enthusiastic urban neopagans who dream of living in harmony with nature, most of the locals see the influx of newcomers as trouble. But when a disgruntled native son brings in a logging company to cut down the Noon Woods, new citizens and old find themselves banding together to protect the trees from destruction – by any means necessary.
