Wessin is home to a close knit community of witches who live their lives abiding by the seven essentials of witchcraft. Her Parents not wanting her to experience the ever growing animosity to her kind have moved Gretchen and her siblings to Long Island, New York, forcing her to shun her natural witch instincts in favor of fitting in.Forbidden from using any of her powers, Gretchen must rely on what little social skills she has to make friends in her new high school. When Allen invites Gretchen to go with him and his mother to a famous psychic's one man show, Gretchen is ecstatic. She can't wait to see the psychic as she knows it can only be somebody from her hometown of Wessin. At the show, Gretchen is shocked to see a psychic whom she does not recognize. She begins to suspect the man may be a fraud and sets out to prove it to the world. Can Gretchen bring the phoney medium to justice or will she accidentally expose her true identity as a witch?
