The Cat That Caught The Canary explores the mind of a broken woman and the horrors that follow. After suffering a traumatic childhood, mousy Pearl Lancaster is reborn. Her path leads her to a sordid New York City, where she makes a home with a bizarre underground theater troupe where things are much darker than they first appear. As she adopts the projected persona of a childhood pet, Pearl’s physical and criminal impulses become harder to control. Her confidence in her ability as an actress, dancer, and murderer reaches its zenith without any clear end. Will she ever be caught? One thing's for sure; Pearl will stop at nothing to remain in the spotlight.
