Victoria Kayen lives alone with her mother, Edith, in the dark, miserable home of her childhood. Each feeds on her own hatred of the other, having no life but the destruction of any vestige of happiness. This year, as spring approaches, the shadow of a man lurks in the recesses of the house, a harbinger of evil change.Victoria decides that she must have one taste of normalcy, one night before she relegates herself to a permanent living death. She meets the enigmatic stranger, Clay, who opens the door for a sinister supernatural creature to enter her life and threaten her destruction.

About the Author

Allan W. Azouz has been a fan of horror since he was four years old, when he and his brother wrote a weekly newspaper, The Midnight Murders. He speaks seven languages, including Ladino, a dialect of medieval Spanish. His current deep understanding of horror stems from his occupation of high school English teacher.
