My end-times tale was inspired by a venerable man of the cloth, Father Michael Duffy, a Simplex priest whose unique ministry was born when he produced a Purple Flash over the Tabernacle by asking a question at it. He was able to parlay that psychic manifestation into a quiet parish priest job. All went well for decades until Mary, pestering Jewish mom that she is, insisted that Duffy travel to Fatima, Portugal to celebrate the "100th Anniversary Celebration" of her apparition there. He made the long trip reluctantly. The message he returned with was the most embarrassing and outlandish end-times prophecy anyone ever heard. And I, Mark Renhaus, am left with the unenviable task of reporting it to the world.
