Heather's fortune-telling booth was the big hit of the Halloween carnival put on by her sixth-grade class. And it was all due to the strange device the old raggedy man had left on her doorstep. Now people were lining up in droves, eager to have their futures foretold by the little girl with the pendulum swinging eerily under its own power, back and forth... and back and forth...For most, the pendulum predicted good things... births, trips, success... But whenever the small metal arrow swung toward the word DEATH, those people would inevitably die in bizarre and gruesome ways. And they were the lucky ones. For they were spared the most terrifying fate of all—the hideous destiny awaiting those for whom Heather's pendulum promised UNSPEAKABLE HORRORS!
