Darker Than Blue by Lawrence G. Taylor is well-written and transports the reader through an imaginary world that gives us food for thought. The story highlights how most of us have been victims of discrimination, which impacts our lives and stays with us forever. Through many exciting characters, Darker Than Blue explores various forms of discrimination and how some benefit at the expense of others. The scenes and characters are vividly described and easy to understand, keeping the reader’s attention from start to finish. We dream of a future free of discrimination; however, we are the only ones who can make that dream a reality. As highlighted in Darker Than Blue, we must work together if we want positive change in our beliefs and values.

About the Author

I was born in Guyana, moved to England in the early 60s. I worked and studied in London. I reside in Sweden since the beginning of the '70s, and I'm retired from a mental health occupation. The ´70s, I began writing, wrote mostly short stories, a four-act closet drama, a few novellas, and an unfinished biographical novel, and had spent two years nurturing the ambition to become an author of some repute. But financially the going was tough, as well as the feeling of insecurity for the future. I worked as a hospital porter for some years. I received a BA (Eng. & Ed.). Unfortunately, my interest in writing faded until some years ago.For three decades I worked in mental health before starting a small practice in mental health counselling. I'm retired. In Feb (2016), I self-published a collection of two short stories and two novellas, Strangers In Another Country, available at Amazon. I've written mostly short stories and some novellas. Only one novel I have managed so far. I have a family: a wife and a son, and three grandchildren. Hobbies are photography, walks, socialising once a week, love various music (on Spotify, mostly classic jazz, soul 60s & 70s).
