Saving the Mother Tree

Hidden deep within the Amazon Rainforest, the Mother Tree has survived against the ravages of time and nature for eons. She is the last of her kind. All her sisters have fallen prey to a malevolent force unlike any they ever faced. Driven by greed, in the name of progress, man has brought death and destruction to her world.Clear-cutting and flattening everything in their path, a group of loggers are quickly approaching. Led by a self-asserted demigod named Charlie, they are armed with ferocious-sounding machines and diesel-guzzling behemoths. The Mother Tree is no match for the coming onslaught. Unlike her sisters, however, she will not simply wait for the inevitable. Surrounded by her children, quite literally her foot soldiers, she will bring the battle to them.Entering the jungle with a group of hikers, on a seven-day Eco-tour, is a young graduate student named, Claire. She is unwittingly thrust into the very center of the coming showdown between Charlie’s loggers and the Mother Tree. The deeper Claire goes into the jungle the more connected she becomes to the world around here. She can feel the Mother Tree’s presence. She can hear her voice. A supernatural bond develops between them. In a desperate act of survival, the Mother Tree reaches out to Claire for help. But what can one person do to stop the tidal wave of industrial savagery from crashing in?With the force of nature on her side, the Mother Tree prepares a new brood of children. They are her bark-covered assassins that can move freely through the jungle and eliminate the enemy. Claire and her group find themselves in mortal danger, both from the loggers and the Mother Tree’s brood. She must find a way to navigate the treachery. To save the Mother Tree while also escaping the cruelty of the loggers and the savage vengeance of the brood.
