The Vampyres of Bentwood

This Gothic Horror tale retraces the footsteps of the Romantic Poets. Lord George Byron, Percy Shelley, Mary Shelley, Edward Trelawny and Leigh Hunt among others. Their paths lead us through England, Italy, Greece and America. When Lord Byron and Dr. Polidori make a clandestine visit to America in 1819, they stay at an estate known as "Bentwood". Their host, Ferris Poole is a broadly educated American gentleman. Ferris is fascinated by a recent literary work called 'The Vampyre'. which has been attributed to Lord Byron. What starts off as an innocent inquiry now leads Ferris across several continents as he learns about the dark side of Byron's world. While doing so he unwittingly becomes a vampyre himself named "Feratu". Upon returning to his home of Bentwood, Feratu becomes consumed by the nature of his "disease". He evolves into the "thinking person's vampyre" learning not only to survive but persevere, even while the world he once knew vanishes into the mist of another time. Take an adventurous tour back into the 19th Century and discover how a vampyre copes with his predicament!
