A twisted game of redefining a hunter versus the hunted commences with an infamous creature that has terrorized a region for over 200 years. A broken combat veteran takes on the hunt for an elusive white deer after being torn away from his military duties and family. A PTSD diagnosis leads him into the darkest depths of the woods filled with solitude and his own internal turmoil. Until he survives an encounter with something thought to have only existed in legend. Armed with a vicious drug dog, the hardened Sheriff of a small town will stop at nothing to find his missing girl that has been gone for nearly a year now. The locals and his wife discredit him for viewing the many other children like his daughter as still being alive somehow, when most feel the children are already dead. Both men will take on their own hunt and risk all that remains for their humanity to end the thing that has tried to devastate them.
