Ghost Stories just happen to a writer with the eerie dream-like essence of every day life seen only by certain people. My husband and I drove by a cemetery in northern Arkansas and saw a huge white horse pawing high in the air in the background. After we drove in and got out, it was chilling to read the grave occupant young man's headstone, "And he will be carried away on the wings of a white horse." I reached out and touched the white horse, it swayed and moved! and my heart nearly stopped! I realized it was plastic and the wind was strong. Sadness withstanding, it prevailed until we got home and I could not help but write a what-if story of how the White Horse ended up so lovingly guarding this young man's resting place. Enter my room of dreams and what-ifs and let your mind follow this ghostly tale.
