Vurk Koll: The Dark Orc Prince, Book I (Fires of Vengeance)

VURK KOLL: THE DARK ORC PRINCE: There are Orcs, and then there are the Krodun Mur Orcs with whom humans have had only a few skirmishes in recent years. Skirmishes that have left few human survivors. The survivor stories of the battles with the Krodun Mur Orcs have sown fear among all the races and even among the “Race of Man.” The stories have given the Krodun Mur what they value most―their peaceful isolation. And none value it more among the Krodun Mur, than Prince Vurk Koll. Yet, fear, as all races know, is but a pale wisp of an adversary to greed. War comes, and, as always, it comes to those who do not seek it. Human raiders, led by a tyrannical Lord, even now brazenly encroach Krodun Mur lands. War comes and the world will be undone. It is said that the Krodun Mur Orcs are superior to the Race of Man in every meaningful way. It is said, that the Krodun Mur are wise enough to keep this truth a question unanswered; a myth. Yet there are Kings among the Race of Man who hold this truth, but know the vast treasures that lie within the lands of Krodun Mur. These Kings also know that, in this age, royalty does not die in war. That is an honor reserved only for the loyal. Long have the Krodun Orcs believed that the fate of the Race of Man would be to perish at its own hand. War now comes and that fate may rest in the hands of another race. Soon, the Race of Man may be no more. (Kirk McCune Vurk Koll)

About the Author

AUTHOR: Kirk McCune, long a victim of the fantasy bug, was bitten successively by Hobbits, Orcs, Goblins, Werewolves and a host of other such characters. As the disease ran its course, Kirk, like so many before him, fell ill with the sickness of writing Fantasy Fiction. The latest manifestation of this life-long affliction is Book one, Vurk Koll: The Dark Orc Prince. It is the first book in what will be a six book epic series. Kirk, as you can see, is deeply afflicted. When drifting occasionally into remission, Kirk attempts to distance himself from his sickness by once working as a longshoreman, occasionally as a salesman and most recently in aerospace. Though aerospace may, in fact, be waking the beast. Kirk first fell ill in Long Beach, California as a boy, where tabletop and computer gaming evolved his symptoms into what they are today.
